The Globe Cafe - 60 Minute Photo

The original painting is titled "The Globe Cafe" and is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Capitol Hill I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Capitol Hill establishment that has since been replaced by higher end businesses in this rapidly changing neighborhood. Capitol Hill is a neighborhood in Seattle that has been drastically impacted by gentrification. The Globe Cafe (a vegan cafe) was on 14th Ave. E. & E. Pine St.

The original painting is 10" x 22" x 1". I created the original painting in 2017 using beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, sheet music, and other found and salvaged collage elements from my very cherished personal collection.
