RCKNDY

The original painting is titled "RKCNDY All-Ages Venue" and is part of my series of mixed-media paintings, "The Capitol Hill I Remember." Each painting in this series depicts a beloved old Capitol Hill establishment that has since been replaced or forced to move by higher end businesses in this rapidly changing neighborhood. Capitol Hill is a neighborhood in Seattle that has been drastically impacted by gentrification. RKCNDY All-Ages Venue was at 1812 Yale Ave.

The original painting (sold) is 16" x 12" x 2". I created the original painting in 2017 using beeswax, oil paint, graphite, and salvaged materials: old maps, pieces of antique mail, and other found and salvaged collage elements from my very cherished personal collection.
